Carteret General Hospital is an acute care 135-bed hospital located in the coastal
community of Morehead City, NC. The Administration and Board of Directors,
together with highly competent staff, have brought loving care to the people of
Carteret County for over 35 years.
Welcome to Carteret Clinic for Adolescents and Children. The clinic opened on July 5, 1978 and was the first pediatric practice in Morehead City. From a staff of one nurse and one receptionist, Dr. John Knelson has moved and expanded his practice to accommodate the growing needs of the community.
Today the office at 3510 John Platt Drive, which opened August 5, 2002, boasts a large professional staff dedicated
to bringing the best possible pediatric care to the children of Carteret County, as well as hundreds of visitors each year,
with a true spirit of caring.
Our center is a multi-specialty ambulatory facility, and is licensed by the state of North Carolina and certified by Medicare as an outpatient surgical facility. Our modern, well-equipped center centrally located in Morehead City serves residents in Carteret County, North Carolina. Carteret Surgery Center participates with most insurance plans, providing the most efficient, cost effective, high quality care available.
Our facility requires each of our surgical staff members be board certified specialists to insure superior care for you or your family member. Surgical
specialties offered include general surgery, orthopedic, vascular, urologic and thoracic surgery.
At Carteret Vision Center, our goal is to provide the ultimate eye care experience for our patients. Personnel undergo optimal training and use cutting-edge technology

Since Dr. David Freshwater and Dr, Fred Howdy began their practice fifteen years ago, their primary goal has been to provide quality
work at a savings. Currently Dr. Freshwater and Dr. Keith Edwards combine years of experience with the best in dental science and
technology to offer you excellent dental care. Since we practice crown and bridge exclusively, our fee for a single crown is $150.00-$200.00
